"Meditations" dates from 2016, my longest running series. Within a simple horizontal grid, color fields are interwoven and interact, creating rhythm and movement. Also, the work can be compared to the repetitive structure in minimalist music and the spontaneity and emotion of jazz. Rather than creating an image, this work emphasizes process, duration, sequence, and action.
